You’ll Reach for It Anyways

This work re-uses my synthetic braiding hair paired with a white hand as a commentary on the discomfort felt when people touch me, specifically my hair, without permission. Looking at the fetishization of Black women and the unfortunate thought that we are merely a commodity, this work is meant to make the viewer uncomfortable.
